If you’re ever in the Los Angeles area and like cars, plan to visit the Nethercutt Museum. The collection includes more than 200 cars some dating back to 1898. Best of all it is open to the public for FREE. Also visit The Weekend in Black and White for some great black and white photography.

I usually use Photoshop 
to edit my pictures, but all the features can sometimes be overwhelming. For some simple tweaks, I find that Picasa does the job. In the new 3.8 version they have integrated the online Picnik editing tool, which makes it more powerful yet simple tool. Best of all, it is free. You may want to check it out.
